James “Jiffy” Dukes:
James “Jiffy” Dukes is a life long resident of Rusk County and is currently serving as the Board Commissioner for Precinct 4. Mr. Dukes recently retired as a Captain of Criminal Investigative Division for the Henderson Police Department. He is married to Tina Dukes and has three children and four grandchildren. He has served on the Board since April of 2017 and is also a member and Captain of the Laneville VFD. He serves as the Assistant Treasurer on the Board.
Brian Bathke:
Brian, along with his wife Julie, has lived in Rusk county for over 40 years and is currently serving as the Board Commissioner for Precinct 1. He and his wife have three children. Two of which attended Texas A&M University and are active in public service. He has been a member of the New London VFD for over 33 years and has been in law enforcement for over 25 years, with the last 14 years at the Henderson Police Department. He is currently the Support Services Captain and Emergency Manager. He was appointed to the ESD Board in August of 2018.
Gloria Dooley:
Gloria, and her husband Bud, have lived in Rusk County for over 35 years and is currently serving as the Board Commissioner for Precinct 3. She and her husband have two children, thirteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Gloria is a retired Human Resources manager and has served on the ESD Board since May 2009. She currently serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Board. She is also state certified as a ESD Board Commissioner.
David Burks:
David Burks currently serves as President of the Rusk County ESD #1 Board and as the ESD Commissioner of Precinct 2. He serves as Maintenance Director of the West Rusk CCISD and is a well regarded mechanical and HVAC specialist.
Wayne Griffith:
Wayne Griffith serves as our most recent addition to the Rusk County ESD #1 Board of Directors as an at-large Commissioner. Mr. Griffith owns and operates Griffith's Towing which serves Rusk County and all of East Texas when called upon. The Griffith family dedicates lots of time in service to the citizens of Rusk County, even when not on the clock.
